Caledonia Pride are excited to add Taryn Cummins to the team for the 20/21 WBBL campaign.
17 year old Taryn, from Perth, has been an important member of Scotland U16 and U18 teams over the past 3 years, which included a selection for the All-Star 5 at the 2019 FIBA European Championships Division C in Moldova.
Taryn was also a key member of youth and senior teams at her former club, Perth Phoenix, over a number of seasons, helping them to win multiple Scottish youth national titles.
On joining Pride, Taryn said “I am really excited about playing with Pride this season. It’s a great opportunity to challenge myself by training and playing at a higher level. I’m looking forward to meeting my new teammates and getting back out on court.”
Pride head coach Bart Sengers stated “I am very happy Taz has made the decision to join our programme. She is a hard worker and I like her attacking mindset. I am looking for her to quickly get used to playing Pride defense at the same intensity she has on offense and that should lift her to be able to compete in the WBBL. During the preseason she has started to get out of her comfort zone and if she continues to do that it is going to be a fun season for her.”
