September 24, 2018

With just days to go until the start of the 2018-19 WBBL season, Caledonia Pride are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with EY. The new partnership will see the big four professional services firm support the development and growth of Scotland’s female professional team.

Pride, who get their season underway at home on Sunday when they face the Newcastle Eagles, will work closely with EY to support the development of the team’s inspiring female role models and ready them for a transition from professional sport into business through mentoring and leadership support.

EY has a proven track history of driving the global dialogue around the advancement of women athletes and harnessing the often-untapped leadership potential of this talent pool. Their support of Caledonia Pride fits perfectly with the team’s core value of developing home-grown talent in the sport.

Head Coach Bart Sengers is delighted to be working with EY for the upcoming season and speaking at today’s announcement said:

“We have had an excellent off-season on the court, but also away from the court. Partnering with such an established organisation is really exciting for the team and we are delighted to be working with EY who share the same values as Caledonia Pride. EY have already demonstrated their commitment to the development of female sport and this partnership will allow our players to continue their development as individuals on and off the basketball court.”

Pride will welcome the Newcastle Eagles to Edinburgh University for a 1pm tip-off on Sunday 30thSeptember with limited tickets still available for just £5 HERE.
