Live Blog - Team Northumbria vs Caledonia Pride

April 21, 2017

On a big weekend for Caledonia Pride, the permutations are set. Friday night's game against Team Northumbria is a must-win game and if the team are able to win, the pressure will then be on Cardiff Met Archers who would need to secure a victory at home to Leicester Riders on Saturday.

With such a big weekend of basketball ahead for Caledonia Pride, we thought we would try something different to keep our fans in the loop with what is happening.

This live blog will be kept up to date throughout the day on Friday, giving fans an exclusive behind-the-scenes view as Pride take on Team Northumbria LIVE on Facebook.

The team are due to set off from Edinburgh later this afternoon so make sure you check back throughout the day for updates!

Pride's youngest player, Shawnisay Millar, joins us on the team bus. She's currently balancing life as a WBBL athlete with her high school exams, yes high school! Great dedication and commitment to balance a hectic basketball schedule.

We're back on the road again!

5.15pm - Pride trail 22-12 after the first quarter

A tough start on the road for the Pride team, they trail 22-12 after the first ten minutes of action.

5.40pm - Pride's struggles continue in the first-half

Pride will need to have a big second-half performance if they are to keep the dreams of reaching this year's Playoff hopes alive. You can still watch the game live above!

5.55pm - Back underway

We're back underway here in Newcastle. A big second-half required from the Pride team if we're to extend our season into the Playoffs.

6.15pm - Pride with it all to do

It's going to take a big fourth quarter turnaround from Pride here in the North of England. Pride trail 64-36 with 10 minutes left in this one.

6.35pm - It's not to be for Caledonia Pride who have lots to be proud of in their debut WBBL season

It's the end of the road for Caledonia Pride's 2016-17 season but there's plenty to be proud off after an incredible run of form in 2017. Pride have been arguably the most improved team this season, winning five of their last seven games. Unfortunately, the team fall just short of reaching this year's Playoffs.

Thank you to all of our fans, supporters and sponsors for their continued help and support of Caledonia Pride this season. We will be back stronger and ready to go next season!
