Update: Pride's crucial game to be broadcast LIVE on Facebook

April 19, 2017

Following a scheduling issue, outwith Caleodnia Pride's control, Friday night's crucial fixture against Team Northumbria will no longer be broadcast live on the BBC Sport Website.

Instead, we are pleased to announce, in partnership with the WBBL and Team Northumbria, that Friday's game will now be broadcast LIVE on Facebook with the action tipping-off in Newcastle at 5pm.

This is a must-win game for Pride whose hopes of reaching the Playoffs in their first season were kept alive with an impressive 72-59 win over Manchester Mystics.

In order to clinch the 8th Playoff berth, Pride must win Friday's fixture and hope that Cardiff Met Archers fall to Leicester Riders on Saturday afternoon.

Pride Head Coach, Bart Sengers encourages all Pride fans to get behind the team on Friday and to tune in on Facebook Live: "We're really looking forward to Friday night's game in Newcastle. We have shown great signs of improvement in the last couple of months and the girls' hard work has put us in this position to qualify for the Playoffs. I hope that the fans can tune in to the live broadcast on Facebook on Friday, all of the support we have received this season has helped us greatly."
