Saturday 30th October
Leicester Riders 83-54 Caledonia Pride
Pride travelled to Loughborough to take on Riders and initially it looked like the journey had no effect on Pride, as they raced out to a 19-5 lead in the first 5 minutes of the game. Riders pulled it back, but Pride still held the advantage at 23-17 after the 1st quarter. However Riders turned up the pressure and limited Pride to just 12 points over the next 2 periods combined, whilst increasing their own scoring to take a big 30 point lead into the final quarter. Pride had a stronger period in Q4, however they were only able to reduce the deficit by 1 point as Riders took the win 83-54.
Of note from this game, Sian Phillips was playing her 86th game for Pride, which ties Hannah Robb, who starred for Riders, as our all-time leader in appearances.
